About us

Dublin Airport Singers repertoire includes a variety of choral compositions. One of the mainstays of the choir is our annual performance around Christmas time in the beautiful surrounds of St. John the Baptist Church on Seafield Road in Clontarf, Dublin 3.

We have sung at the National Concert Hall, All Hallows and Christchurch Catherdral in Dublin, Ulster Hall in Belfast and All Saints Church in Mullingar, to name but a few. We have also won several awards at music festivals in Ireland and performed in Bordeaux, Cologne, Krakow, Rome, Verona and Vienna.

Morgan Crowley

Morgan Crowley was appointed to the role of Musical Director in September 2020.

The choir is delighted to be working with Morgan, who enjoys a very high reputation as a solo and choral singer and musical director.

Professor Paul Deegan

Following Tony’s untimely death, the role of musical director passed to his friend, Paul Deegan. Paul had a long and distinguished career as a singer and teacher; he taught for many years at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, where he became Head of Vocal Studies and directed Opera Studies and the Lieder Class. He served on the Council of the Association of Teachers of Singing (UK) and was made an Honorary Life Member in 2014. He was a founder member of the European Voice Teacher’s Association and was awarded Honorary Life Membership in 2005.

Tony Madden

The choir was founded in 1991 by the original Musical Director, the late Tony Madden, who worked with Aer Lingus. Under Tony’s direction, the choir developed an excellent reputation nationally and internationally winning several awards. Sadly, Tony passed away in 2009.

His enthusiasm and his achievements with the choir will forever be remembered by his friends in Dublin Airport Singers.

Currently, members come from all walks of life and from all areas of Dublin and beyond, and the choir is under the tutelage of Musical Director, Morgan Crowley.
